Collection Instructions
PATIENT INSTRUCTIONS:Label 24 hour urine bottle with your full name and date and time of commencement.Collect the 24 hour urine specimen in the following manner:a) Decide a time to start the test (eg. 0800 hours)b) Empty the bladder at this time and discard this urine.c) From now on all urine passed in the next 24 hours may be collected in a container, but must be transferred to the large bottle.D) At 24 hours from commencment time (eg. 0800 hours the next morning) the bladder is emptied and this urine is also placed in the bottle.Deliver the specimen to the collection centre on the day the test is completed.REFRIGERATE during collection.
